Trademarks & Branding

rpg.actor is an independent project. The following names are trademarks of their respective owners and are used here solely for identification and interoperability purposes. This does not to imply affiliation, endorsement, or sponsorship.

AT Protocol & Bluesky

AT Protocol is an open, decentralized protocol for social networking. rpg.actor uses the AT Protocol for identity, data storage, and federation.

Bluesky is a social application built on the AT Protocol, operated by Bluesky Social PBC. When this site refers to "Bluesky," it means the Bluesky social app specifically, not the AT Protocol itself. Any AT Protocol-compatible account can be used with rpg.actor, not only Bluesky accounts.

RPG Maker

RPG Maker™ is a trademark of Gotcha Gotcha Games Inc. rpg.actor provides third-party integration plugins and a compatible stat system for RPG Maker MZ. The sprite generator uses original artwork created for this project, not RPG Maker assets. See our Terms of Use for details on user responsibility regarding third-party assets.

Dungeons & Dragons

D&D™ is a trademark of Wizards of the Coast LLC. Game mechanics from the System Reference Document (SRD 5.1) are used under CC-BY-4.0. Fan content complies with WotC's Fan Content Policy.

SRD content © Wizards of the Coast LLC, licensed under CC-BY-4.0.

Dungeon Crawl Classics

Dungeon Crawl Classics™ (DCC) is a trademark of Goodman Games. Our DCC stat system uses game mechanics published as Open Game Content under the Open Game License v1.0a. Class names, ability score names, and mechanical terms (Warrior, Wizard, Cleric, Thief, Mighty Deeds, Spellburn, Corruption, Mercurial Magic, etc.) are Open Game Content reproduced under the terms of that licence. No Product Identity of Goodman Games is used on this site. See the full OGL notice below.

Playtopia Quest

Playtopia Quest is an original social RPG system created in collaboration with the Playtopia Foundation, a South African non-profit that promotes game development opportunities in South Africa. The “Playtopia” name is used with the Foundation’s cooperation. All class archetypes (Artist, Coder, Gamer, Suit, Weirdo) and stat definitions are original to this project.

Other Game Systems

All other game system names (Reverie House, etc.) are either original systems created for this project or trademarks of their respective owners used for compatibility and interoperability purposes only.

Disclosure for AI Assistance

The rpg.actor plugin suite is human designed, AI refined. Claude Code was used for various fixes, formatting, and iteration. Thus, the entire suite is offered unobfuscated and completely free of charge under the MIT license. It does not require any credit for use in projects (commercial or non-commercial).

All artworks for the sprite generator are original, were produced exclusively by human hand, and are also free to use in your projects (commercial or non-commercial) under the CC BY 4.0 license with artistic credit to @isilme.reverie.house did:plc:zlgkqbg37lee3tyxmwiit3ph.

Use of these plugins and assets is not required to leverage the AT Protocol lexicons or the REST API provided by rpg.actor, and we encourage confident developers to produce their own custom solutions for their projects. Please feel free to use what exists in this suite as a basis for learning, and work with the needs of your game engine, storefront, or personal ethic as fit.
